in the vestibule. Please take only one copy per family.
40th Anniversary Homecoming
Our Homecoming for 2008 is set for October 12th. This will be our 40th
church anniversary, so it will be very special. We are so glad that the
trio from Richmond will be with us again to glorify the Lord with beautiful, special music.
Everyone is asked to bring vegetables, casseroles, desserts, etc. The
church will provide drinks, barbecue pig and chicken, string beans and potatoes. Mark your calendar and invite your friends and neighbors.
Woodworking Workshop
There will be a special workshop beginning on Saturday, October 18th.
This will be for our young people and adults in order that they might learn
basic skills of woodworking. Volunteers are needed to help with this
project. The project will be a CD Holder. If you can help see Richard Toy. A signup sheet is in the
vestibule.
Senior's Trip to Louisburg
The Seniors of our church will enjoy a trip to Louisburg College on October
24th to see the Hunt Family Fiddlers. There is a sign up sheet in the
vestibule.
Senior's Trip to Myrtle Beach
The Seniors of our church will enjoy a trip to Myrtle Beach from November
10th at 8:00 am through the 11th at 10:30 pm. Activities will include
shopping, shows and golf. The cost will be $135.80 for a couple and $92.90
for a single. There is a sign up sheet in the vestibule.
Apologetics Class
In I Peter 3:15, we are told to "be ready always to give an answer to every
man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you...". On Sept. 7th,
Jerry Snow began teaching an Apologetics class for this purpose. The
class runs for several Sunday evenings during the evening service.
