How to Know
You Are Going to Heaven When You Die
You must receive Jesus
Christ as your Savior. He is the only way to go to heaven, the only way we
can be saved. The Bible says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
The reason we must be saved
is because we are sinners, and therefore guilty in God’s sight. “As it is
written, there is none righteous, no not one.” (Romans 3:10) “All have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
We are under condemnation
because of our sins. The penalty for our sinful condition is eternal
judgment in a lake of fire. The Bible says, “The wages of sin is death…”
(Romans 6:23) “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was
cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15)
We are completely
unable to save ourselves. No one else, nor anything else can save us. The
only one who can save us is Jesus Christ. He is God’s Son sent from heaven
to this earth Who lived a perfect life, died on the cross, and was
resurrected on the third day. It is by His provision and the shedding of
His blood alone that we can be saved.
Would you like to
be saved and go to heaven when you die? Then, look to Christ, ask His
forgiveness of your sins, and trust Him to save you. The Bible says, “For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans
10:13) The Bible also says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (I
John 1:9)
